Trump’s first annual State of the Union address was a success by all accounts! From extending an olive branch across the aisle to Dems to his “America first” message, he was in fine form.
However, what had people talking Tuesday night was in fact Melania Trump: her clothes, her guests, and her separate arrival from her husband.
According to the New York Times
It took the State of the Union to get her in a state of quasi-support. Tuesday night is when Melania finally appeared in public alongside her husband – at least in the same large room, bearing in mind they allegedly arrived separately) for the first time since the allegations that the president had conducted weeks after Melania had given birth to Barron, an affair with the porn star Stormy Daniels.
The fact that Melania did so in exactly the kind of outfit that is a symbol of her husband’s rival, Clinton, during the last election, and has since become widely accepted as sartorial shorthand for both the suffragists and contemporary women’s empowerment and maybe even an anti-Trump uniform, and as well what the women gathered behind Kesha wore to display their sisterhood at Sunday’s Grammy Awards — looked like a subtle a slap in the face as could be contained in a garment.
The white pantsuit may or may not be about their relationship, but it definitely did turn heads!
As Breitbart reported:
Our first lady glowed in a white suit at her husband’s “State of the Union” address, stunning many people.
She brought the glamour to Capitol Hill with the entrance in a Christian Dior white suit with capri pants, a Dolce & Gabbana silk top, and Christian Louboutin stilettos.
Most of the women present wore black to raise awareness of sexual harassment in the workplace, and Melania Trump opted for a suffragist ensemble that harped back to women’s voting rights movement.
Whatever is going on between the first couple, it’s our hope that they will work it out, not only for their family, but for the American citizens as well.
There are many kinds of marriages that people go through, but true love and commitment can weather any storm.
